This is a symptom characterized by the appearance of a pink or reddish color on the face, particularly accentuated on the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead and can be transitory or persistent.

The causes of this can be various, including:

marked sensitivity to emotional stimuli (anxiety, embarrassment, anger) or to changes in temperature

ingestion of hot or alcoholic beverages and spicy foods

intense headache, digestion, hot flashes in menopause

use of drugs

allergic reactions

sunburn

Persistent redness, however, may be due to particular skin diseases, such as acne, rosacea, dermatitis, hypertension.

These rednesses are not treated directly, but the remedies consist in eliminating the cause that triggered them and can be various.
It is necessary to consult a doctor immediately if the facial redness occurs in the presence of a pathology, for example severe hypertension.
The osteopathic approach, in this case, can be useful to act at the level of the sympathetic system endings and therefore can prove to be a real help in eliminating fascial tension and stress conditions.
